HOW TO ACESS AND USE PATACASH
To register for this service one should have an account at Postbank and then register for *PataCash (Mobile banking service) by filling a form at the nearest Postbank branch. Once registered, the customer’s mobile phone will be activated. The bank will then send a PIN via sms that will enable the customer to access the various *PataCash Services.
Accessing Your Money is as easy as *PataCash.

Depositing to your Account using M-PESA

Customer navigates the M-PESA menu on the cell-phone and proceeds as follows:
1.    Select “ Pay Bill Option”
2.    Enter the Postbank Account Number.
3.    Enter your full Postbank Account Number.
4.    Enter the amount you wish to deposit and your M-PESA PIN.
5.    Transaction details will be displayed on your phone screen (e.g. Pay Bill 200999, Account KAACBST0003706 Kshs 1000).
6.    Confirm details are correct and select “OK” to complete the transaction.
Note that this service is also available to the SAYE and Postbank Visa Credit Customers.

Withdrawal from your Postbank Account using M-PESA
Type *498# on your mobile phone and press the Call button.
1.    Select 2 (two) to choose Money Transfers and press OK on your mobile phone.
2.    Type 0 (zero), select Account Number and press OK (You can register more than one account).
3.    Type the amount you want to withdraw and choose OK.
4.    Enter Mobile banking account PIN for selected account and press OK.
5.    You will receive a confirmation message via SMS.
 
Other services that you can access through *498# include: Balance enquiry, Account to Account Money transfers, Airtime purchase, Mini-statement requests and Alerts.
