1.  ACCOUNT OPENING  

1.1 Account opening forms will be downloaded herein: 

1.2       The Account will be opened through the following steps:

a) Account opening forms will be downloaded from the postbank website, The following documents will be required:

·    Certified copy of ID or Valid Passport by the Bank Manager/Lawyer/Kenyan Consulate.

·     2 recent color passport size photographs (one of which must be stamped and signed at the back by a Bank Manager/Lawyer/Kenyan Consulate.

·      Address confirmation document i.e. Current Utility Bill (telephone/water/electricity) or lease agreement. The Utility Bill dates must not be less than 3 months old.

·         For students, a valid student identity card or University acceptance letter.

·         An introduction letter from Bank Manager/Lawyer/Kenyan Consulate.

·         Completed email/fax indemnity.

Note:

All the documents will be notarized/authenticated by either:

·         A Public Notary

·         Current Bankers

·         Lawyer

·         High Commission/Consulate

1.3       Filled forms will be scanned in PDF format and sent back to Postbank office via this email address diaspora@postbank.co.ke

 1.4    The Customer will receive an acknowlegement e-mail and the Account will be activated within 24 Hours and communicated via e-mail to the customer.  

1.5.  The Customer should then fund the Account immediately to facilitate Internet Banking access. This will be done through the Bank's correspondent bank.

2. FUNDING THE ACCOUNT/ DEPOSIT PROCESS

2.1 Swift: Where customers initiate SWIFT to Postbank with the following details:
