Account Opening Requirements

  • Original & copy of Certificate of Registration
  • Original & copy of Constitution or By-Laws
  • Copy of minutes duly certified by the duly elected Chairman & Secretary
  • A letter or resolution document authorizing opening of an account with Postbank including defined operating instructions
  • Copy of PIN or VAT Certificate for the Association
  • Original & copy of valid Identification Documents for officials mandated to sign
  • Copy of PIN Certificates of each signatory
    • Two coloured passport sized photos for each signatory
    • Reference letters where applicable:
  • Societies to get a reference from the Ministry of Social Services
  • Schools to be referenced by the parent Ministry
  • Churches to get a reference from the Main body/Parish
  • NGOs/CBOs to be referenced by the NGO Board
  • 1,800 search fee payable on application
    • Completed account opening & debit card application forms (SB11B & ATM1)
    • A minimum of Kshs.2,000 account opening & operating balance payable after search process is successfully completed
    • 600 personalized card fee charged from account on application
